Since 2001, now rebuilt from the ground up

The Calendar has been in print for twenty-five years. Many readers have ordered it year after year. This autumn we took it apart and rebuilt it. The interpretations are still the ones I wrote, and the question-and-answer heart of the report is unchanged. What's new is everything around them.

Each month opens with its headline. This is the single most important transit of your month: what it is, where it lands in your chart, and when it peaks. A short overview of the month's themes follows it. Every day reads in context. Each entry names the houses involved and the nature of the contact (Fusion, Tension, Harmony, Creativity or Separation) before you reach the questions and answers.

Long transits are treated as long. When a planet turns retrograde and crosses the same point in your chart three times, the Calendar tells you which pass you're in, so you get a story in three acts and not the same paragraph three times over.

No more blank days. On quiet days you'll find the Moon's sign and house, along with a reminder of the slower influences still at work in the background.

New and Full Moons are placed in your chart. You'll see which area of life each one lights up. Eclipses are flagged, because their effects can run for months.

The sky for everyone, kept separate. A narrow column on each daily page follows the collective weather, meaning the Moon's movements and the day's aspects in the sky. It is kept apart from what's personal to you.

Your month as a spiral. A wheel graphic shows your birth chart with the month's days wound around it. You can watch each planet, the Moon most of all, travel through your chart.

Questions you're actually asking

Most astrology names the influence and stops there. The Calendar hands you the choices in front of you and the likely consequence of each. When Mars crosses your Venus, you won't read a vague "romantic tension today." Instead you'll read:

Woman meets man, but there is more tension than sweet music. Should I resist temptation? Act in haste, repent at leisure — but on the other hand, you've got to enjoy life. What is more important, love or sex? Today it's about sex, but the opportunity to integrate the finer feelings is there, and should be taken.

That is a real entry, and it's what the Calendar delivers for your chart every day. Readers use it in the morning to prepare for what's ahead, and in the evening to make sense of what just happened.
