If you are gravitating towards the right in politics, or even to the far right, then it’s important to do something with your hair. What appears to work here in the 21st century – if you are a man – is a fine and perhaps unruly mop of hair, if possible blonde. Do this whilst Uranus is still in Aries .

Milo Yiannopoulos
One of the darlings of the far-right these days is Milo Yiannopoulos, a very handsome young man who sports a fine head of (dyed) blond hair, and who is currently in charge of the Breitbart Tech section of Breitbart, which is a far-right news and commentary website. It is worth looking at www.breitbart.com to get a taste of what Trump voters were attracted to and influenced by. Breitbart’s chief strategist was Steve Bannon, who is now Senior Counselor for the presidency of Donald Trump.

Yiannopoulos calls himself a free speech fundamentalist and he is a sworn enemy of political correctness, Islam and feminism. YouTube presents him as the “most fabulous villain on the Internet”. He has been extremely vocal on Twitter, harassing his ideological opponents to such an extent that he was permanently banned in July 2016. Born in Greece to a British mother and Greek father, he dropped out of both Manchester and Cambridge university, has published his own poetry, but ultimately graduated to technology journalism and became notorious for the so-called Gamergate controversy, where he objected to feminist interference in violent and sexist video games. In Gamergate he complained of:

“… an army of sociopathic feminist programmers and campaigners, abetted by achingly politically correct American tech bloggers.”

You get the idea. Wherever he turns up to speak, which he does regularly at US universities, his talks are constantly disrupted by protesters, whilst his supporters rise to his defense – he is a strongly polarizing influence. I don’t have his birth time but with his moon at about 1 degree Leo at noon, he is almost certainly born in the afternoon.

Milo Yiannopoulos: October 18th 1984 Athens, Greece. (Solar)

With the Sun in Libra and Moon in Leo, Yiannopoulos is a charismatic person who is not without charm. The striking issue in his horoscope is sun sign ruler Venus, in detriment in Scorpio, and exactly conjoining the South Node at 27 degrees. This puts his anti-feminism in another light, because it is clearly something about which he obsesses, and where there is some inherited trauma. He is something of a paradox, for whilst Breitbart is anti-gay, he himself is gay and in fact toured the US and Britain with something he called the “Dangerous Faggot Tour”. He says that being gay is a lifestyle choice guaranteed to bring pain and unhappiness.

His Leo Moon most likely is in close square to the Mercury/Pluto conjunction in Scorpio, and he obviously likes making outrageous statements for dramatic effect. It is difficult to know whether he means all the things he says, whether he fabricates them, whether he lies for a purpose, or whether he is just joking – his Mercury in Scorpio perfectly cloaks his inner psyche. It was his maternal grandmother to whom he was most attached as a child, as his parents separated when he was very young. Neither parent reacted positively to his coming out as gay in his teens, so he stayed with his grandmother. All this complex emotional stuff is almost certainly reflected by Mercury, Pluto, Saturn and Venus in Scorpio.

Watching Yiannopoulos on YouTube, you see a person of unshakeable opinions. He is happy to argue and debate reflected by the powerful conjunction of Jupiter and Mars in Capricorn, which indicates a hardline and intellectually dominating personality. Naturally, he is a strong supporter of that other famously politically incorrect person, Donald Trump, who he refers to as “Daddy”.

This is the person that alienated, tech and social media savvy people from their teens to their thirties gravitate towards – particularly those who feel that the world is dominated by women.

Donald Trump
Daddy himself has of course a splendid head of hair, especially for someone over 70. When asked what was the most popular misconception about him, Donald Trump replied: “Number one is my hair. It may not be pretty, but it’s mine.” And that Leo Ascendant of his cannot be denied – what a fine mane he has. Trump’s hair sits on the top of his head like his glitzy golden penthouse sits on top of Trump Tower.

It is interesting that his Ascendant ruler, the Sun, is right there in his 10th house, conjoining Uranus, which is associated with Prometheus, who stole the fire of the gods and gave it to mankind. Trump acts like a Greek god, which perhaps anyone would be inclined to do if they lived on three floors of a 58-story building accessed by golden elevators. From this elevated perch, Trump can look out over America, but at the same time there is a disconnect, a 200-meter (660 feet) separation from the foundations, which in his chart is represented by the conjunction of the (eclipsed) Moon in Gemini with the South Node in the 4th house. This same disconnect could be seen when he was campaigning. Trump landed at venues in his Trump jumbo jet or Trump helicopter, and departed immediately afterwards – lightning fast visits to rapturous crowds in true Uranian style.

In myth Prometheus and Zeus (Jupiter) where not good friends (the first was a mere Titan, whilst Zeus was king of the gods), and Zeus condemned Prometheus to be chained to a rock for eternity with an eagle picking at his liver. In Trump’s chart, however, Jupiter makes harmonious aspects to Uranus and the lunar eclipse, which combined with Mars is his winner combination. Prometheus, who was renowned for foresight and genius, had a brother named Epimetheus, who was blinded by foolish self-interest, Epimetheus created pandemonium by allowing Pandora’s box to be opened. Time will show which side of Trump’s Gemini personality will dominate in the coming presidential period.

Boris Johnson

Perhaps the most spectacular head of hair sported by current politicians is owned by Boris Johnson, who is Foreign Secretary of Great Britain. Nick Clegg, the deputy Prime Minister under David Cameron said Johnson was: “like Donald Trump with a thesaurus”, alluding to the fact that he has a brilliant intellect. Like Donald Trump he is a Gemini and born in New York. He speaks French, English, and Italian fluently and gets by in ancient Latin and Greek too.

His Mars, Mercury, Venus and the Sun in Gemini and the 9th house clearly shows an extremely versatile mind with language ability, and Boris Johnson has had considerable success as a journalist for the Daily Telegraph, Spectator and other magazines, as well as graduating from Oxford in the classics.

Having said that, this emphasis in Gemini is very tricky, and although Johnson has had periods of popularity, he has alienated many people through duplicitous behavior. Guardian journalist Polly Toynbee referred to him as “jester, toff, self-absorbed sociopath and serial liar”, and David Cameron probably feels the same, after Johnson turned against him on the Brexit vote, hoping perhaps to grab the role of Prime Minister himself, if Brexit became a reality.

Boris Johnson has been good at living a double life, not only holding down a full-time job as a politician, but also getting very well paid as a journalist on the side. He’s been married twice, and had affairs concurrently with each wife, and children with several women. It’s easy to see how a man with a stellium in Gemini can do that.

Various people who have worked with him refer to him as a joker, good Gemini-style, but while insulting others, he did not like getting insulted himself. The Uranus/Pluto conjunction squaring Mars on one side and Mercury on the other pretty much ensures violent and sexualized language, and Johnson is quite well known for crude sexual references and occasional viciousness, as when, upset by an article in the Telegraph, he sent an email to the editor telling him to “fuck off and die”.

Boris Johnson is a man who disguises his ruthless instincts behind a façade of humor and messy hair.

Geert Wilders
A politician who has been around for a long time in Holland is Geert Wilders. Radio Netherlands has called him “the most famous bleach-blond since Marilyn Monroe.” He is best known for his criticism of Islam, which has resulted in his having to have round-the-clock protection from the secret service. It’s a hard life, as he is only allowed to visit his girlfriend once a week because of the extraordinary security arrangements that must be made. The state provides him with a safe house with panic room and he wears a bullet-proof vest.

Wilders has in fact been extremely provocative, trying to get the Koran banned and mosques demolished in his country. He founded the Party for Freedom, which opposed Muslim immigration and the EU. In 2014 he was tried for hate speech (for leading chants calling for fewer Moroccans). He says himself: “Half of Holland loves me and half of Holland hates me.”

With his Moon in Aries conjoining Jupiter (and probably opposing Mars) there is no doubt that Wilders is a fearless man, but is also likely that he projects his own anger on others. There have been innumerable threats to his life, and he was for a time banned from entering Britain for his views. He claims not to be an extremist, and certainly not a fascist, and refuses to associate himself with the extreme right. Nevertheless, the conjunction of his Venus and Sun in Virgo with Uranus and Pluto does indicate someone with extreme values who is willing to break politically-correct taboos even at the expense of his own freedom of movement.
Geert-Wilders-horoscope

Geert Wilders. September 6th, 1962. Noon. Venlo, Holland (Solar)

The Sun’s conjunction with Uranus/Pluto probably reflects the influence of Wilders father, who spent life in hiding during the Second World War, and even 40 years later refused to enter Germany. Considering Venlo, where Wilders was brought up, is only a few kilometers from the German border, this is rather unusual. The occupation of Holland was obviously a traumatic experience for the whole family, which puts into perspective the views of Wilder on Muslim domination of Europe. He says:

“Islam is the Trojan Horse in Europe… We are heading for the end of European and Dutch civilization as we know it.”

Jupiter in his horoscope is exactly square the nodal axis, and this aspect is often seen with politically active individuals with very strong convictions. Furthermore, Jupiter is exactly sextile Saturn, which also emphasizes political interests – his dream is to become Prime Minister of Holland. In December 2016, he was convicted of hate speech. He is favorite to win most seats in the Dutch general election on March 15th 2017, but with Neptune opposing his Sun all this year, a leadership role is unlikely.

Yiannopoulos, Trump, Johnson and Wilders are all populists who speak their minds and fight against multiculturalism, open borders and displacement of national values by foreign values. It’s working for them all at the moment, because the majority of people are disaffected. They see politicians as an elite meritocracy, self-satisfied with their rule and fat salaries, having benefited from an unfair system, which over the last 50 years has made the rich richer, the middle-class stagnant, and the poor poorer. They like the fact that their men are rude and provocative, because they sense that they support them and are loyal to them and their values. Being politically-incorrect is what the disaffected majority want. They are angry, and they want angry representatives.

How this will end is anyone’s guess. Currently the opposition of Jupiter to Uranus, a 14-year event which affects the period from November 2016 to September 2017, is going to continue to evoke extremist politics which emphasize flamboyant individuals, which is likely to affect elections in Europe, not least Holland and France, perhaps also Germany. As Trump tweets the world into submission, the next four years are likely to be explosive and difficult. Without European solidarity, the boundaries of Eastern Europe and the Baltics can be destabilized.

The world has enjoyed an unparalleled period of peace, despite local proxy wars, for 70 years, which is almost unheard of historically. But 70 years is a lifetime; people who remember earlier catastrophes are dead. Hardly any of us have an experience of war. We don’t have a perspective of more than about 70 years. A little over 100 years ago, in 1914, an Austrian Arch Duke was assassinated in Serbia. Nobody thought it would lead to anything very serious, but it did. Today with people like Putin, Trump and events like Brexit, we may also think that we will get through, and that we can risk foolish decisions. But 2020 is approaching, and with it comes the grand conjunction of first Jupiter and then Saturn with Pluto, on the USA Pluto, ushering in the start of a new era as Jupiter and Saturn conjoin at 0 Aquarius for the first time in 800 years. May this be a peaceful process.
